People out having a great time in Belgrade

What do Belgrade people do when the evening arrives? They surely do not stay home, watching TV and chatting on Facebook for hours, sitting still. Instead, they meet out, taking a walk, sitting at restaurants, cafés or the pub. Talking about life, relaxing, enjoying a great meal or a couple of tasty beers, and no one drinks too much. On the streets people are moving around all the time, and on their free time many people enjoys swimming, taking long walks, going to the gym, or maybe even an outside gym.

The Belgrade people really know how to enjoy life!

Inexpensive food and beer Belgrade

The food and beer is incredibly inexpensive in Belgrade. The circled items in the image are 'Jelen Pivo' wich is a serbian beer that tastes really great! 0,5 litres cost only 74 dinars, that is about 0,70 euro! The line under is 5 litres of water, for only 1,10 euro!. This in the local super market, open 24/7.



Everytime when you sit at a restaurant, eating lots of great food, drinking several beers, you ar astonished about how inexpensive everything is. You can easily pay for the whole company without feeling any pain in your wallet, but instead feel like a king :)

And by the way, the meat, sallads and everything tastes really really great! I will surely miss it!

When walking and traveling around Belgrade, I watched both old and new really cool buildings. Here follows some examples of the magnificent and beautiful views & buildings of Belgrade.

Movie and pancakes

On Monday July 19:th we went to USCE shopping center in Belgrade to watch a movie, take a look at the luxury cinema area Kolosej Cinemas,Usce

We watched the new Nicholas Cage movie, it wasn´t that good,but we went there just to feel the movie area and the Sound, which was crystal clear and powerful.
The bad thing is we couldn´t film inside the Shopping center cause you need a permission to take photos. Seems like we need that next time, cause USce is probably one of the best shopping malls in Europe, without any doubts.

After the movie we took a short break and had some of the Famous Serbian large pancakes filled with different stuff. To be honest, one of the pancakes was like a complete dinner. It was almost impossible to eat everything. I left maybe like 1/3 of it..Puuuuhhhhh: Hi from Mr Nasty-M

My experience in Belgrade

This trip was really amazing. It got me to realize several shortcomings of life in Stockholm, including the way people live, the level of service at restaurants and shops, and how to really enjoy life.



The streets of Stockholm are normally quite empty, except on the weekend, but in Belgrade the streets are filled with people of every age, every day, even at late hours. The people of Belgrade are enjoying life by walking around, having a drink, beer or coffee, discussing life or other things, singing, listening to music (street bands / musicians or live performers). There were more people out in the city on a wednesday in Belgrade, than on a saturday in Stockholm.

Barely no one shouts loudly or is too alcoholized and staggering in the streets. A few beers or drinks are enough. No one is harassing other people, no suspicious gang formations in the streets. At all time I felt relaxed and secure when walking around, even in the darker and more remote areas of the city.

People were friendly and polite all the time, and the service at even small non-high-standard restautrants and small shops were top class!

This is the way of life i want here in Stockholm. It is not impossible to get in the future, but in the meantime, go visit Belgrade for a time of your life!

A day at ADA beach

Nasty Travelers acting cool. We went here very early so not many people had chance to arrive yeat. But that was OK for us. We had the whole place for us.

The waiter is rushing to serve Mr Nasty-T another cold beer.

Still, several people where there, swimming, and enjoying the many sunchairs :)

Mr Nasty-T and Nasty-M are having a great time on ADA beach. ADA beach is a great place in Central Belgrade. It´s an artificial lake and beach area where about 100.000 people comes when it´s sunny and great weather. And that´s like a small amount.
The whole area around the lake is something like 8 Kilometers long. It is surrounded by great cafés and bars.



There are about ( as we counted) about 120 places all together.
The bars are all from avarage hangouts to high class standard which would make any European designer act like a mouth watering kid who has just noticed some candy. In other words, GOOD.
THe beer and food is pretty cheap. Avarage beer price for a 0.5 L domestic beer is about 140 RSD / 1.3 EUR. That´s nothing to even talk about. Cheap is the right word. Nothing else matters.
The food is also extremely cheap when you count in European currency. For us from Sweden, everything seems cheap here, not to meantion because of the high quality service included. Here you have real waiters and waitress. Not that teen girls-chewing gum-tights wearing-slow walking-non expression kind of style which if often common in Northern Europe.The people here are explosive and fast and gives you 100 % service every moment. It is a common missunderstanding that Teen Girls attracts more clients to a Bar or Club. NO WAY. What attracts clients is GOOD SERVICE and PRO Behavior. Cause I´m paying money I demand good quality service. Otherwise, what´s the point.????

Skywalker.

The funny thing with Skywalker is that it isn't a ordinary high fashion place, but more of a bohemian kind of lazy hangout.



Still it has a very friendly and cool feeling with a lot of original people, almost from an Ernest Hemingway novel. We drank 6 beers. 2 lemonades, eat a lot of food, newly baked bread and sallad,coffe and bla bla bla.
All that was about 36 EUR. Seems like a silly price.






After this cool beer picture we need a good beer commercial, hehehehe
